Mr. E. Page, S.M.. dealt with police and summons cases iu the Magistrates Court yesterday- . , ± . , For a breach of his prohibition order. Cecil Albert Pearce was flnod £t. . Convicted on the charse of hindering a constable while in the execution of his duty. John Scollen was inflicted with a £3 penalty. For supplying liquor to a customer after hours. Charles Francis 8e11,., barman at the Thistle Inn Hotel was convicted and on the application of Mr. IT. F. O'Leary the penalty was fixed at £5 Is for the purpose of appeal. The same fine for a similar reason was made in the case of Johanna Oben the licensee, who was convicted on the charge of opening her hotel for the eale of liouor after hours. For being found illegally on the nromißCß of the Thistle Inn Hotel after hours, Theo Walters was fined £2. For failing to closf his shop at the proper time during the regular weekly half-holiday, Barnao Bros., who had nre* vious convictions against them for a similar offence, ftned Fnr * likv offence, A..
