THE BARBARIC BOB
Varis is going to extreme lengths in its efforts to produce a rival to the shingle. • _ The “barbaric bob” is the _ latest achievement of the Parisian artists in coiffure, and the style fully justifies the name. As a matter of fact, the new hairdressing represents a medley of modes, one at least of which is entirely new to this generation. There is a fashionableKaffir touch in the fuzzv-wuzzy confusion of waved locks on the brow. The right-hand parting is correct, according to the prevailing mode. The shingled line at the back represents the smartness of the dav, the studied carelessness in the adjustment of the comb is the new “chic,” but the note of novelty comes in the careful training round the ears of the inordinately' long hobbed sidepieces.
