BASEBALL MEETING
There was only a small attendance at the annual meeting of the Wellington Baseball Association, Mr. W. S-.. IV ilson presiding. After the annual report and balancesheet had been adopted, Mr. J. D. Stewart. of Carlton Club, Melbourne, gave an interesting talk on the game as it. is plaved in Australia. The secretary (Mr. T. R. Alexander) said that the activities of the association in the past had been Confined to teaching hew to play tho game, but now such progress had been made that clubs had been formed. In the past, wet weather had hamnered play, but it was the intention of the association to obtain this season the use of a gymnasium for wet Saturdays. The election of officers resulted:—Patron, Mr. T. M. Wilford, M.P.: president, Mr. W. S. Wilson: vice-presidents Messrs. R. A. Wright. M.P., A. Roes. H. R. Wakelin: management committee. Messrs. A. Ijowrie J. Alexander, B. Wakelin. W. Aitken. •T. 'D. Stewart, S. Perkin. A. Cole. IT. Reaper: honorary treasurer. Mr. 11. MeGirr: honorary secretary. Mr. R. Alexander.
