MIRAMAR AND HATAITAI SCHOOLS
A deputation front the Wellington Education Board, comprising the chairman (Mr. T. Forsyth. M.P.), Mr. R. A. Wright, M P and Mr. J. J. Clark, waited on the Minister of Education (Hon. Sir James Parr), in reference to City schools. Tho urgent necessity for additions ,to tho Miramar South and Hataitai Schools was stresed, it being pointed out that tho crowded state of the attendance in both cases required immediate attention. Sir James Parr viewed the representations favourably, and considered that two portable rooms could be erected at Mira.mar and an additional room at Ha taitai. The surfacing of the Upland Road Kelburn, will necessitate the temporary stoppage of the Northland-Kelburn motorbus. All opinion is current that the bus is not to be put on the run again, but Hie manager of tho company states that is not ■ the case.
