CANADA’S POSITION UNCHANGED
(Rec. February 14, 5.5 p.m.) London, February 13. The Australian Press Association is authoritatively informed that the position with reference to Canada and the Pacific cable is unchanged. The board authorised Sir Joseph Cook and Sir James Allen to interview Mr. P. C. Larkin (High Commissioner for Canada); who requested, them to prepare a memorandum for dispatch to his Government. The memorandum is being prepared. Meanwhile everything relating to the duplication of the cable is proceeding normally in accordance with the authorisation by the Imperial, Canadian, Australian, and New Zealand Governments. —Aus.-N.Z.
