Air. and Airs. C. Roy Spackman have returned to Napier from a tour of the South Island.

Barnsdale, of Picton, lias -gained further distinction in her University career by winning the Diploma of Education for New Zealand—an‘extremely high honour, probably held by no one else of Aliss Barnsdalc’s age in the Dominion, states an exchange.

Aliss Alargaret Harris, formerly of the teaching staff of the Picton fjchool, and now of Wairoa, Hawke’s Bay, has been selected by the Education Department as one of" the New Zealand teachers to go to England for a term in connection with the exchange system. Aliss Harris will leave for London in March.

The marriage took place in St. _ Andrew’s Church, Christchurch, op Tuesday of Edna, youngest : daughter of Air. and Airs. W. S. Fielding, Riccar ton, anl Harry Wilfrid,. youngest fton of Mr. and Airs. G. D. MacFarlane, also of Riccarton. The Rev. N. L. D. Webster performed the ceremony, and Air. Robert Lake played the’wedding music. The bridesmaids were Miss Kathleen Anderson, of Invercargill, and Miss Rosamund Wood, and the bride’s niece, Rhoda Aspinall, attended 1 ns trainbearer. J. Reid, of tlie Avenue, was married to Air. Robert J. Clinton, youngest son of the’ late. Air. R. J. Clinton and of Airs. Clinton, of St. John’s Hill. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev, J. Patterson. The bride wore an ivory brocaded crepe de chine frock, with hand-embroidered tulle Veil, which was held in place, by a Coronet of pearls. A shower bouquet, the colour scheme of which was white with aprb cot tints, was carried. 'The bridesmaids were Miss Queenie Clinton, sister of the bridegroom, and Aliss Marjory Reid, of New Plymouth, cousin of the I.ride. They wore mauve and pale green brocaded silk marocaiu respectively, with turban head-dress to tone. Each carried pretty bouquets to match. Mr. V. H. Reid attended as best man, and Air. Winston Bassett was groomsman. The bride Was: given away by her father, and Aliss Tqrvey was at the organ. After the ceremoiiy a number 6f guests were entertained at the R.S.A. Hall by the parents of t|ic bride, Airs. Reid receiving her guests in a frock of rose du bois silk repp with bat to tone. Mr. and Airs. Clinton, who were there-' cipients of a large number of handsome 1 i:id useful presents, left by the Nevi ■'lvniouth express for Dunedin, where the honeymoon is to be spent, the bride travelling in' an ensemble suit of black and tan satin marocain and black hat.
