SWIMMING
FUTURE CARNIVALS. A meeting of the Wellington Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association took place on Wcdncsday night. . Dates were allotted for carnivals as follow:—Carterton, February 20; Greytown, February 20 (night carnival); Wellington Club, February 27: Hutt Club (new baths). March 6; Masterton (night carnival), February 17. Swimmers making the trip to Carterton and Greytown on February 20 must advise the secretary in order that seats may be booked. The 440yds. provincial championship has been allotted Carterton, and the 230yds. to Greytown, which will be an added attraction. , ~ , , It is probable that in the future the Maranui and Lyall Bny Clubs will hold carnivals at To Aro Baths for competifive swimming. Tim Norden Cup competition may be held in Wellington nt Easter between Canterbury and Wellington. .
