Mr. Wilfred Buckley, chairman of the National Clean Mill: Society, in . giving evidence before the Food Council, said the average London milkman obtained dishonestly 30s. to 50s. weekly by giving short measure and selling the surplus. Some employers, he added, connived at the practice, and also regularly gave from 5 to 10 per cent, short-measure bottles.—Sydney “Sun” cable.
