JAMMED BY A LORRY
YOUNG MAN KILLED INSTANTLY. Dr T.ELEUR.M'n--PilUSs ACSOCIASzC-!-.. Gisborne, February 4. The police received word to-night of the death near Waingake of a Young man named Brown, who was employed carting nietal. From the meagre particulars available it appears that Brown was driving a lorry up a hill and got out to close the gate after him, ivlicn the lorry ran backwards and janffaied him against the gate, killing him instantly. Deceased, who was about 21 years of age and single, was a son of Mr. George Brown, contractor, of Chalmers Road, Gisborne.
