Palmerston North, January 20. Inter-club matches were played by bowlers to-dav, when, with favourable plaving conditions, there were some very close finishes. Following are re palmerston North v. Northern at Palmerston green.—Griggs, dk ‘ n t Wilton, and Stephenson (s.), defeated Northern, Levy, McHardy, McLeod, and A. IS. Bennett (s.), 20—12; Palmerston.—Lucas, Frew, Bayliss, and N. W. Jones (s.), defeated Northern, Robinson, Kensington, Thornley, and Cunninghame (s.), 20—15. Northern v. Palmerston, at Northern green.—Northern: O’Reilly, Walker, G. H. Bennett and Stallard (s.), lost to Palmerston: Balsillie, Wall, Goldfinch, and Patton (s.), 2d—l3; Northern: Allen, MacPherson, Bryant, and Rumble (s.), defeated Palmerston: Boon, Hepworth, Pickering, and Crump (s.), 26-15. Terrace End v. Manawatu, at Manawatu.—Terrace End: Oliver, Wort, Fraser, and Snell (s.), defeated Manawatu : Preece, Holland, Birch, and Holdaway (s.), 22—21. Manawatu v. Terrace End, at Terrace End.— Manawatu: Andrews, Lloyd, Low, and Jones (s.), lost to Moffatt, Kennett, Ashton, and Duncalf (s.), 18 —l6.
