« Mr. E. Page, S.M., presided at the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. F6r fighting in Molesworth Street with Thomas Ackland, Alfred John Hearl was fined £5 and ordered to pay witnesses’ expenses amounting to £2 10s. 6d., in default one month’s imprisonment. John Wynn,.alias William Wynn, was committed •on the charge of being an idle and disorderly person, and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within twelve months. He was ordered to leave the city and find work at once. BY-LAW AND SUMMONS CASES. The following by-law and summons cases were dealt with by Mr. C. B. Orr Walker, S.M.. in the Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday:— For failing to attach proper lights to their vehicles the following were fined the amounts shown: Charles Eliot ,Craig £l, Bichard Henry Stephens 155., Leslie William Geoffrey Brand 10s., Raymond Morris Stewart 155., John Clone Bidwell 10s., B. H. H. Edkins 155., William Charles Hawkes ss. For exceeding 30 miles per hour on the Hutt Bead George Hunt was fined .£'3. Robert Frederick Craig £l, and William James McLennan £3. For exceeding the speed limit of 12 miles an hour through Ngahauranga, Patrick O’Callaghan was fined £3. For allowing stock to wander the fol'owinc were fined: Samuel Howan £l, James Hamilton £l, Samuel Sharp £l, Septimus Knight 155.. John Elliot Harrop 10s., James Lounds 10s.. Allan Orr 155.. Thomas Mason 55., Peter Petterson ss.
