Of the seven spans comprising the new railway bridge across the Ttiranganui river, six have now been completed, and the final one is being held in abeyance in the meantime so that shipping may use the berthage in the upper reaches of the river (states the “Poverty Bay Herald”). The work of dismantling the timbering on the finished spans is now proceeding, and other detail work is to be carried out without delay.
