ATHLETIC MEETING TO-MORROW
A good day's sport is assured for the second of the Dewar Shield athletic meetings, which will be held at Athletic Park to-morrow afternoon. All the local champions will 'be competing, and this means that tho cream of New Zealand’s athletic talent, including many New Zealand and Australasian champions, will bo seen in action. _ The mon are now at tho top of their form, in readiness for tho provincial championships and the visit of the American runners, Scholz and Hahn. Lea abetter, Paris and Jenkins are the back* markers in the sprint events. On his present form Kyle is expected to go very close to lowering the New Zealand record in the 410yds. event. Kyle is running in great form at present. Special novelty races figure on the programme in the shape of boys’ niotortire races. They will provide plenty of amusement «nd are well worth seeing. Field events and ladies' events are’ included in a well-balanced programme.
