ANNUAL CONVENTION. The thirtieth annual convention, of the New Zealand section of the Theosophical Society was opened in tho Theosophical Hall, Marion Street, yesterday morning. . Tho opening address was delivered by tho general secretary, Mr. AV. Crawford, who said that this was tho jubilee convention. for theosophy was now fifty years old. The former general secretary. Mr. J. R. Thomson, had been sent by the New Zealand section to attend Ihe great jubilee convent ion at Adyar, Madras, the Indian headquarters of the society. At that convention lhe Theosophical Society was to be openly declarer! the corner-stone of th? coming universal religion. After Mr. Crawford's address, Mr. B. Yeates was elected chairman of tho convention.

In the annual report, mention was made of th? A’asanta Farm near Henderson, Auckland, consisting of 114 acres, which had been presented to tho society fourteen years ago, and then valued at .£'237.
