GALE IN FRANCE
MANY CASUALTIES Paris, December 25. The gale which awept France wrecked the Eiffel Tower aerials, preventing broadcasting. It also overturned a ferry boat crossing the Seine, Nine persons were drowned. Several were injured at Rheims by the collapsing of walls. The gale razed tombstones in Clermpnt, leaving the cemetery like a shelltorn battlefield.—Sydney “Sun” Cable.
