Dunedin, December 27. The Alacandrew Bay annual regatta was held ou Boxing Dav, umler ideal oonditious. A big programme of events u-as disposed ot, the puocipal item being the race between 14-footers, in which four boats that will c°oie»t the Sanders Cup trials competed The wind was from the south-west, and liglit and fickle at times. Heather led for about half a lap of the course alter the start b t lona sailed into the. lead before the boats hauled on the wind, and r.gin(ained the lead until nearing the .i hnrbour There sbo lost the wind and was overhauled by the Winifred ’ and Heather, winch coined the i.mht wind. AVimfred won easily, vb Je only a few seconds separated lona, and Heather, the latter being awarded a second place. Kia Ora crossed the line with Heather, but was disqualified lor fouling the channel post.
