MIRAMAR TOURNEY The entries for the Miramar tournament, which is, to open on Thursday, December 31, and continue over, the two following days, are most satisfactory, both numerically and from the quality of the players. Conway. J. H. Drake, P. Grey (New Plymouth), L. D Hurst, N. R. Jacobsen, A. E. Middleton, I. L. Pattey. Leo. Quin (E'tham), Rev Rooke, Imlay Saunders (Wanganui), 11. J. Shanks, A. A. Stichbury, S. C. Stichbury, Rana Wagg, and D. O. Whyte. There is a possibility that J. H. 'Horton, amateur champion of the Dominion, may also compete. He has intimated that he will come down from Masterton if he has recovered m time from a slight indisposition. The draw will appear in Wednesday morning’s Dominion, and play will commence at 8.30 on T hursday morning.
