Thomas gave notice to raise a debate on the Government’s alleged differentiation of treatment of Fascists and Communists. Sir Douglas Hogg (Attorney-Gener-al) made a statement that the Public Prosecutor, on his own initiative, withdrew proceedings against four Fascists because there was no evidence to support a charge of larceny of the "Daily Herald’s” motor-van.
