STEAMER ON FIRE
RACING FOR PORT (Rec. November 18, 7.20 p.m.) I New York, November 17. Cape May, New Jersey, reports that the steamer Letiape, plving between New York aryl Jacksonville, Florida, is heading full speed for Delaware breakwater, eight miles distant, ablaze. The burning vessel was seen from the shore. —Reuter.
200 PASSENGERS ON BOARD (Rcc. November 18, 9.10 p.m.) New York, November 17. A Cape May message states that the Lenape lias on board two hundred passengers. She is the fifth vessel of the Clyde line menaced by fire within recent years.—Reuter.
