HUTT COUNTY ELECTION
MANGAROA. RIDING VACANCY The election in the Hutt County vesterday to fill the vacancy on the council caused bv the resignation of Councillor G. Gard, resulted in the return of Mr. S. Blackley by the narrow margin of two over Mr. J. J. Maher. The poll was a heavy one. 522 votes being recorded out of a total of 799. The plural voting system is in force in the county elections. The following are the details of the voting:—
