MAHENO SAILS
DISPATCHED LAST NIGHT After being delayed since Friday and postponed very many times, the Maheno obtained a full crew last . night and sailed for Sydney at nine o’clock. The crew was about twenty men short yesterday morning, but during the day the stragglers reported, and the last man was taken out to the steamer in the stream at about eight o’clock by the tug Natone. An hour later the anchor was heaved, and the Maheno put to sea. The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Corinthic was also delayed at Wellington vesterday by a shortage in her complement. The vessel was to have sailed at 6 a.m. for Southampton and London, but owing to two firemen deserting she could not proceed, and was anchored in the stream, where she remained until a quarter past five. The missing men then having been replaced, she continued on her voyage.
