MEMORIAL SERVICE
' LATE REV. FATHER MAPLES. A Requiem Mass was celebrated yesterday morning at the Sacred Heart Church, Petone., for tho late Rev, Father Maples, a on?-timo parish priest. The church was filled to its full capacity by residents of tho Hutt Valley, and the celebrant was Dean Regnault, who was assisted, as deacon, by the R.ev. Father Kelly,. Newtown, and sub-deaeg>n, th? Rev. Father Camphist. C.S.S.R., and M.C., Rev. Father Devoy. In the sanctuary there were in attendance His Grace Archbishop Redwood, Archbishop O’Shea, Dean D?voy, Dean Connolly, Rev. Father McDonnell (St. Patrick’s College). Rev. Father Mahony (St. Mary’s). Rev. Father T. Mahony (Wanganui), Rev. Father Healy (Stratford), Rev. Father Brennan (Elttiam), Rev. Father O’Donnell (Waipawa), Rev. Father Carmine (Taihape), Rev. Father Dalv (Lower Hutt), Rev. Father Fellon (Newtown), Rev. Father Hegarty (Carterton), Rev. Father Murphy (St. Mary’s), Rev. Father Dillon (Newtown), Rev.. Father Lenihan (Kilbirnie), Rev. Fathers Smythe, Cullen, Butler, Adam (St. Joseph’s), Rev. Fathers Gill, C.S.S.R., and Griffin (Johnsonvflle). Archbishop Redwood pronounced the Absolution.
