HUTT COUNTY ELECTION
To-day an election will be held to fill a vacancy on the Hutt County Council. caused by the resignation of Air. E. E. Gard, of Silverstreani. Air, Angus J. McCurdy, one of the candidates, has an advertisement in this issue seeking the support of the ratepayers of the Alungaroa Riding, who alone can vote on this occasion. There are colling booths at Knitoke, Akatarawa road, Wallaceville ■ Valiev, Whiteman’s 'Valiev, and Silverstreani. For some unexplained reason there is no polling booth at Trentliam. where the bulk of the ratepayers reside. Ratepayers of the riding can also vote at the Hutt Ccuntv office, Wellington, opposite the Government Buildings.
