PAREMATA BOATING CLUB
The second annual meeting of the Paremaia Boating Club was held at Paremata. There was a large attendance of members. Air. J. H. Kinniburgh occupied the chair. Tho annual report and balance-sheet showed the club’s position as good. The club’s boat house is well on its way, ami is expected ta ho completed beoro the season open l . Tho outlook for the coming season is most promising, and an entire new committee has been elected. Officers for tho coming season were elected as follow: —Patron. Air. F. Bradley; vicenatron. Mr. G. Lambert. J. Wiffin, J, Goddard, S. Ivory. G. Groves, G. J. Pearce. Mr. Wright, Ryan, Adams, J. Moffatt. R, Lane, F. Sutherland, D. O’Connell, J. Buckland, S. Shearer, A. Barber; commodore. Afr. A. Stirling; vice-commodore. Mr. E. O’Connor; secretary, Air. B. Fisk; treasurer, Air. AL Quirk; committee, Messrs. ,T. Jones. F. Holland, S. Allen, G. Whiterod. F. AlcKeover, F. Bradv (iun.). A. Smith (chairman); starter and judge, Messrs. N. Fisk ami J. Kinniburgh; handicapper for yachts. Mr. A. Shearer; handicappers for launches, Messrs. A. Stirling and F. Holland. It was decided to open the season on November 29.
