The progress of Murchison was advanced another step on Saturday, when the remodelled and extended public school was otllcially opened by the Hon. W. JI. Mclntyre and other members of tjie Nelson Education Board. Wet weather marred the children’s sports programme, but indoors the ceremony passe# off successfully. A representative gathering of citizens entertained the board members at a complimentary dinner in the evening.—Press Assn.
