Thousands of feet of Canadian timber for fruit cases for Hawke’s Bav fruit have been landed at Napier in the past dav or two from the Waitemata (savs the Napier “Telegraph”). This timber is tn be put together for boxes in which Hawke’s Bav fruit for export will be packed. When packed the . fruit is exported through Wellington, and it is suggested that if proper arrangements could be made, it could be shipped direct from Napier. It is undoubtedly a sound principle to shin Hawke’s Bav produce from a Hawke’s Bay port.
