Councillor AV. G. Thompson, chairman of the Reserves Committee, and an ardent bowler, is favourable to tlie establishment of a municipal bowling green, where any follower of the game will be able to play on an afternoon or evening on payment of a small sum. Councillor Thompson considers that Central Park—just below Brooklvn and adjacent to one of the most congested areas of Wellington—would be a suit-" able spot for such a green. There was no reason, as far as lie could see, there should not be others establish: on the same lines as the fifteen croquet lawns which the city reserves now boast.
