OLD LAND MARK PASSES
NEW BUILDING FOR CUBA STREET Another old land mark will disappear from Cuba Street shortly, in the premises opposite Te Aro House. The old buildings, erected in the early ’so’s, will be demolished to make room for a large two-story reinforced concrete building to be erected for Dlessrs. R. Hannah and Co., to- the plans drawn by Dlessrs. T. Turnbull and Son, architects. The tender of Dlessrs. A. Campbell and Son, has been accepted, the contract price being over £19,000. An endeavour is to be made to complete the building in six months. The ground floor will be occupied by Dlessrs. R. Hannah and Co,, and the Sims Hardware Co., while the first floor will be for letting purposes;
