THE MAHENO. x The Union Co.’s intercolonial steamer Maheno, which is due at Wellington today from Sydney, is to bo dispatched on the return voyage at 2 p,m. on Friday. THE GALLIC. The Shaw. Savili, and Albion Co. recelved a cable message from Brisbane stating that the Gallic left there at 3 p.m. on Friday for Wellington, where she is duo to-morrow morning to commence loading. The vessel will proceed from here to New Plymouth, Napier, M aikokopu. Glsborna, and Auckland, and is to sail finally from the last-named port on April 17 for Genoa and London, via Cape Horn. THE CANADIAN CHALLENGER. The Canadian Challenger left Bluff yesterday for Lyttelton’and Wellington to continue loading for New York, Boston, and Montreal. The vessel is due here on Thursday, and will sail the same day for Auckland. She is expected to sail finally from Auckland next Tuesday. THE ARAWA. At present at Dunedin, the Shaw, Savili, and Albion Co.'s liner Arawa will leave (here to-night for Port Chalmers for loading. She will subsequently proceed to Timaru, Lyttelton, and Wellington. The vessel is due here on April 5. and will sail from this port on April 10, at daybreak, for Southampton and London, via Panama. WEST CAHOKIA AT AUCKLAND.

With 5780 tons of cargo, including nearly 3.900,000 feet of timber and 16.000 cases of oil, the Swayne and Hoyte Line steamer West Cahokia arrived at Auckland on r rtdav evening from Pacific Coast ports, lhe vessel loaded at Prescott, Portland. Gray s Harbour, Seattle. Everett, Vancouver! San Francisco and San Pedro. She was dispatched from the Los Angeles port on February 20. The vessel will discharge 1541 tons, including 820,000 feet of timber, at Auckland, 1500 tons at Wellington, and the remainder at Sj’dney. The case oil Is optional, but will probably be landed at Auckland. Messrs. Burns, Philp, and Co. are the local agents. Captain L. A. Rockteschell, who was chief engineer of the West Cahokia when she last visited New Zealand, died on the return voyage to America. After becoming ill at sea he was put on shore at Honolulu, but he expired an hour after he was landed.

PORT DENISON FOR LONDON. Thu C. and D. Line expect to dispatch the' Port Denison I'rpm Auckland at daybreak to-morrow for London, via New York and Boston. The vessel will take the following passengers'. —Mr., Mrs., and Master Beetham (of Masterton), Miss Hutchinson, Misses Bunny (2), (of Lower Hutt), Misses Lelthead (2). To-dav at 2 p.ni. the Shaw, Savin, and Albion Co.’s liner Maimoa will leave Napier for Hicks Bay, Gisborne, Auckland, Nelson, and Lyttelton. Thu vessel is to sail finally from Lyttelton on April 7 lor Londom und Hamburg, via Montevideo and Teneriffe. CITY OF BRISTOL REPORTED. Mr. W. Wallis has received a wireless message from the A. and A. Line steamer City of Bristol, en routs from New York, stating that the vessel will arrive at Auckland at noon on Thursday. She is due at Wellington a week later. THE CITY OF WINCHESTER. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Co. advise that their chartered steamer City of Winchester will now leave Wellington on Thursday for Oamaru in continuation of her loading for London. THE PORT SYDNEY. The C. and D. Line steamer Port Sydney arrived at Gisborne last evening from Wanganui roadstead to continue l loading. The vessel will leave Gisborne to-morrow for Napier, instead of Walkokopu, and will afterwards proceed to the latter port. THE TAIROA. The Shaw, Savill, '■ and Albion Co.’s steamer Tairoa arrived in the Wanganui roadstead yesterday morning from Port Chalmers. She will leave the roadstead on Friday for Wellington, is due here on Saturday, and will sail from this port on April 2 for Auckland to fill up. lhe vessel is to leave Auckland on April 9 for London, via Montevideo. MISCELLANEOUS. The steamur Somerset will leave Bluff at 2 p.m. to-day for Port Chalmers for further loading. . The Kent arrived at New Plymouth at 9 a m. vesterday from Dunedin to unload the remainder of her London cargo. Although delayed at Newcastle by a shortage of coal, the Kauri is oxpected to sail eariv this week for Wellington. Now loading at Dunedin, the Kamo is expected here on Friday, via Oamaru, Timaru, aiid Lyttelton. The vessel will load at Wellington for Napier and Gis°The Kamona 'will be dispatched to-day for New Plymouth, from which port she will continue to Greymouth and Westport.
