Tho quarterly meeting of the Public Service Superannuation Board was held on Thursday, Mr. J. W. Macdonald presiding. Twenty-five contributors retired under section 35 of the Act by reason of age or length of service wore granted allowances of a total of .£5051 per annum, and two contributors retired as medically unfit were granted allowances totalling .£379 per annum. The board refused to grant an allowance in one case, and consideration was postponed in two cases. Seven widows and te,n children were granted the statutory allowances amounting to d£256 per annum.
