» TO-DAY’S MATCHES. The Rugby Union's competitions will bo continued to-day. Athletic Park patrons will have as their chief entertainment fho match between Marist and Berhampore. Marists have two wins to their credit so far. and their supporters are confident that, they will be in the running for the filial. Bcrhampore, however, have drawn with Poneke, and as they are a. side with possibilities, a good game should result. Other senior games to-day are Old Boys and Oriental at Duppa Street. 'Vnrsitv v. Poneke. at Koiburn; Athletic v. Wellington, at Kilbirnie, and Petone v. Selwyn, on the Petone Oval. PRIMARY SCHOOLS COMPETITION. 3'ho following are the results of matches played in the Wellington Primary Schools competition on Thursday:— In the senior A grade. Newtown defeated Clyde Quay by 29 points to nil. Tries were scored for the winners by Wong (3). Archer (2). and Solomon, Sawtell, Kent, and McCrea, one being converted by Boyd. Marist 8, defeated Hutt District High School 8. In the junior A grade, Newtown beat Berhampore by 9 to 3. Burton, Parker, and Toney scored for the victors, and •Williams for the losers. In the junior B grade, Newtown beat Kilbirnio by 6 to ni-. Ladkin and Heap scored the tries. Lyall Bay 7, defeated Brooklyn G. Parfitt scored' a try for the winners and Scott potted a goal.
