BASIS OF SETTLEMENT PROPOSED

Melbourne, May 9. A compulsory conference of. the Tramway Board and the executive of the union has been summoned by tho President of the Arbitration Court for to-day, to discuss means for settling the dispute.—Press Assn. (Rec. May 9, 10.30 p.m.) Melbourne, May 9.
