ARGENTINE STRIKE
ENDED BY SYNDICALIST UNION PENSION LAW TO BE AMENDED (Rec. May 8, 10.35 p.m.) Buenos Ayres, May 8. The Syndicalist Union passed a resolution to end the strike of affiliated unions at midnight on Wednesday, in view of.the public assurance that arrested strikers will be released. The decision of men to return to work gives the Government an opportunity to fulfil the promise that the pension law, under which a portion of their wages were turned over to the Government', will be satisfactorily amended.—Aus.-N.Z.
