QUEENSLAND CREDIT
RE-ESTABLISHED IN LONDON MR. THEODORE EXPLAINS HIS POSITION London, May 7. Mr. Theodore, Premier of Queensland, is sailing for the Continent next Wednesday. He explained that he had contemplated entering Federal politics before he left Australia, but had delaved the announcement because he felt morally obliged to settle the loan. Ho regarded himself as politically responsible for the pastoral legislation which had antagonised tho London financiers in 1920 and compelled him to resort to New York. It was unfair to leave his successor to shoulder the responsibilities, and he determined, therefore, not to leave State politics until Queensland’s credit had been absolutely re-established in the London market. Tho result of the last loan demonstrated that beyond doubt, and ho'was therefore free. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
