THE £5,000,000 LOAN
PROBABLY OVERSUBSCRIBED “It will not be a matter of surprise in financial circles in London if the £5,000,000 loan now floated is over-subscribed,” said Mr. Massey to a Dominion reporter yesterday. “Its reception leaves no doubt as to the financial stability of the. Dominion in the mind of the financiers in London. When I was nt Home, London financiiers were quite satisfied . that the Dominion’s methods of business were thoroughly sound.” The loan will be devoted to extending the operations of the State Advances Office in the direction of providing further facilities for settlers and workers’ homes, and for Public Works development.
