BODY SEEN FLOATING IN RIVER
By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston North, April 28. It was reported to the police yesterday bv an angler fishing in the Manawatu River that the body of .a man had been seen floating down stream. A constable made a search, which was continued this morning, so far without result, owing to the muddy condition of the water. Higher up the stream on tho bank were found a coat and hat. The body is believed to be that of a local resident.
