OPPOSITION TO CAPITAL PUNISHMENT
APPEAL AGAINST EXECUTION OF WILLIAMS. (Reo. April 24, 10.10 p.m.) Sydney, April 24. A deputation representing the Australian Labour Party has made a, strong appeal against the execution of Williams, the triple child murderer, on the general ground of opposition to capital punishment. As a result, Sir George Fuller promised that Cabinet for Hie third time would reconsider the case. A further appeal for leniency will be made by the Citizens’ Association on Saturday. The case is arcusing much public interest.—Press Assn.
