It is comforting; to know that tn these days of bustling: motordoni there aro still some “road gentlemen” (comments an exchange). On a recent ovoninff a small boy was ruling along Worcester Street, Christchurch, on the wrong side of tho road-. A man ridinpj a motor-ovcl© was coining down ManChester Street. Tho two machines very nearly collided at the comer and it was only tho prompt action of the motor-cyclist in ar plying his brakes suddenly that prevented the boy from iieincr knocked over. A car close* behind tho motor-cycle dashed into it, doing some damage to the rear portion of tho machine. 3ho owner of the car offerer! the cyclist some recompense for the damage done, but the cyclist, who was a working man, refused, saying: “I would sooner smash up my uiachiue wan ran over a kicidie.”
