WELLINGTON UNION. The chairman (Mr. J. Prenderille) presided over a fully-attended meeting of the management committee of tha Wellington Rugby Union last night. After a lengthy discussion in committee it was decided to circularise dus, inviting nominations of players available for the trial games in connection with the selection of the All Black team. The measure was introduced for tho purpose of alleviating the difficulty that arises when a player selected announces at the last minute his inability to travel. It was decided also to write the Hawke’s Bay Union asking if they are touring south this year, and whether they will meet Wellington here in a Ranfurly Shield fixture. Tho nomination of Khandallah in the seventh grade was accepted. This brings thd total of the teams to date to 147. FORTHCOMING FIXTURES. The following fixtures were drawn for May 3: — ’ Petone v. Oriental, Athletic Park; Hutt v. Athletic, Hutt; Marist v. Selwyn, Wakefield Park; Wellington, v. Berliainpore, Kilbirnie; Old Boys v. ’Varsity, Newtown Park; Poneke, a bye.
