AMERICAN SURGEONS
VISIT TO WELLINGTON HOSPITAL Tho party of American surgeons who arrived from south on Wednesday visited the private hospitals of Dr. W. E. Herbert and Dr. Young, ami yesterday went over the public hospital. The party was comprised of Dr. W. J. Mayo, of. the Mayo Clinic, Rochester; l)r. Richard Smith, vice-president of iho American Gynaecological Society; Dr. Franklyn . Martin, Director-Genera] of the American College of Surgeons; Dr. Richard Harte, Emeritus Professor of Surgery, University of Philadelphia; and Mr. J. C. Kahler, Director'of Hospitals at Rochester, Minnesota. The visitors were received by Mr. F. Castle, chairman of the Hospital Board ; Mr. C. M. Luke, chairman of tho House Committee, and members of the Hospital Committee. The party was shown over the hospitals by the medical superintendent. j The party will leave for Sydney by thp Marania to-day.
