PARAPARAUMU AUTUMN SHOW
The Parapnraumu and District Horticultural and Industrial Society held its autumn show yesterday in the Coronation Hall. Faraparaumu. The patron and founder, Mrs. H. Hadfield, opened tho show. Air. J. G. Ahiclean, former secretary for nianv years, was presented with a gold medal, making him a life member of the society. The exhibits totalled 500, a small increase upon the total last year. Tho quality of the exhibits in the fruit and vegetable sections was exceptionally good. There were large entries in the school children’s section and the work exhibited was excellent. Points prizes were awarded in each section, the winners being as follow:— Cut blooms and pot plants: Air. F. Cordukes, 16 (mints. Bouquets and decorations: Mrs. G. A . Kendrick, i points. Fruit: Air. C. B. Reeves 15 points. Farm produce: Mr. 11.I 1 . Cordukes, 4 points. Domestic: Airs. J. Ashdown, 16 points. School children’s section: Dodds Alaclean, ? points. President’s trophy: Mr. A. AV. Broadway, 21 points. . There was a good attendance during tho afternoon.
