CENTRES’ CHAMPION RINKS After many delays the Wellington Centre’s champion rink advanced another stage yesterday. Flay took place on the Victoiia and Tuorndon Club’s greens both of which plaved very well, though sil l little on the dead side owing to last week’s rain, and the ensuing crop ot new grass. Mr. D. C. Innes acted as umpire on the Victoria green, and Mr. W. E. Silencer at Thorndon. The results were as follow (Eastbovrtne having defeated Johnsonvil e in the first round) : — SECOND ROUND. The semi-final games will be played on the Victoria green, commencing at 10 o’clock this morning. 'I he draw is as follows: —Central v. Kelburn; Hataitai v. Island Bay. The filial game will bo played on the Victoria green at 2 p.m. to-any. VICTORIA CLUB. On Saturday next, ihe members of the Victoria Bowling Club will hold a full rink progressive tournament, the proceeds from which will be donated as the club’s subscription to the Radium Fund appeal. A time limit of fifty minutes will be allowed for each game. Teams will be selected at. 1.30 p.m., and play will commence at: 2 p.m. sharp. On the following Saturday, the past v. present members’ match will bo- plaved. NEWTOWN CLUB.
