Savill and Albion Co. advise that the Mamari will leave Gisborne today for Picton ,and Wellington. The vessel is due here on Thursday now, and will sail on January 29 for Lyttelton. She will leave Lyttelton on February 4 for London, via Montevideo and Teneriffe. THE NUDDEA. The Nuddea will sail from Dunedin at middav to-day for Bluff, from which port she is to get away on Tuesday night for Melbourne. PORT SYDNEY AT AUCKLAND. From London, via Panama, the C. and D. Line steamer Port Svtlnev arrived at Auckland yesterday morning. She is expected to reach Wellington on January 27. ’ WAIMARINO FOR NEWCASTLE. 1 When the Union Co.’s collier Waimarino was about to leave her berth for Aewcastle soon after 8 o’clock last evening, it was discovered that a fireman was missing. The vessel put out into the stream, and the missing man was later discovered and brought aboard. The Waimarino left the stream soon after midnight tor Newcastle.

RIMUTAKA AT PANAMA. According to a cable message received by the New Zealand Shipping Co., the Rimutaka arrived at Panama lajt Wednesday afternoon from Lyttelton bound for Southampton and London. The vessel left Lyttelton on December 20. NOWSHERA ARRIVES TO-MORROW. In continuation of her voyage from Philadelphia and New York, the Nowshera left Auckland at 6 o’clock ve.%srday morning for Wellington, where she is due to-morrow morning. THE SUSSEX BERTHS. After being Quarantined for a week, the Union Co.’s chartered steamer Sussex berthed at the King's Wharf at 10.15 a.m. yesterday to unload part cargo from Calcutta. Singapore, and Samarang. The vessel was placed in quarantine at Wellington owing to a case of smallpox having been discovered on board when the ship was at Thursday Island, where the patient was placed ashore. The Sussex left Calcutta on December 7. and arrived at Singapore on December 15. After picking up more cargo, the vessel resumed her voyage and arrived at Samarang on December 22. The Sussex loaded kapok, at Samarang. and sailed the same day for .Thursday Island. Four days prior to arrival at Thursday Island n- huge waterspout was seen at a distance of about two miles. Moderate weather prevailed till arrival at Wellington. At 4 p.m. on December 13 the -wireless aerial fused and set fire to the main topmast, but the flames were soon suppressed. The Sussex’s cargo is to be distributed as follows Wellington, 1666 tons: Lyttelton. 2455 tons; Timaru. 1295 tons; Dunedin. 2297 tons: and Bluff. 683 tons.
