Amery, First Lord r the Admiralty, sjiid the preliminary rk had been begun. The actual wo o far was not groat, hut liabilii < s amounting to about £150,000 had been incurred. The land had been provided free of cost by the generosity of the colony It was proposed to carrv out the principal works by contract. — Reuter.
