The Forestry Committee put forward the- following' resolution, which was endorsed by the conference: “That in view of the promise given cn several occasions &by tho Primo Afinister that the State Forest Service would discontinue competing w’tli nurserymen as soon as they could supply sufficient forest trees at reasonable prices, and seeing that iihe trade row has available large stocks of Irst-diss trees which it is prepared to sell nt the Government prices, we respectfully request the State Forest Sendee to discontinue the sale of trees to the public in lots of less than 1000.” It was decided to forward t) e resolution to the authorities concerned.
