The monthly meeting of the Wellington Volunteer Fire Police Corps, was held at th© Central. Fire Station on Tuesday evening. Captain J. Wright presiding over a full attendance of members. After the ordinary business was disposed of the question of fire calls was gone into. After a long discussion, and owing to the absence of His Worship the Mayor from town, it was decided to adjourn the question until the. next meeting. A sub-committee, consisting of Captain J. Wright, Lieutenants T. Ballinger and A. Asher, Mr. J. Doyle and secretary W. Lang, was. appointed to deal with the. question if required: before next meeting.
