> A FOURTH ARREST OTHER ACCUSED BEFORE THE COURT Br Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, January 16. This afternoon local detectives arrested C. H. Capes, fruiterer,' brother of W. P. Capes (who is now on remand), on a charge of conspiring WitW. P. Ciapes, AV. Williamson, and J Golding to defraud the Southland Racing Club by substituting the horse Willie Lincoln for Look Out. GOLDING & GAPES AGAIN REMANDED Dunedin, January 16. Jarne* Golding and William Percy Capos were charged at the Police Court to-day with conspiring with eann other and with William Williamson to defraud the Southand Racing Club by the substitution of the horse Wiliie ‘Lincoln for Look Out. The police asked for a remand till Friday, when Williamson will also appear, and when a further remand will probably be sought. v On the question of bail the police staled that this had already been fixed at Christchurch, but in the case of Golding it was not forthcoming. It was mentioned that he was a labourer in poor circumstances, and his bail was reduced to £2OO, with two sureties of £lOO. Capes’s bail was fixed at £250, and two sureties of the same amount. Both men are to report daily to the police.
