* REGATTA AND SANDERS CUP ARRANGEMENT'S. Mr. W. Duncan presided over a meeting of the Wellington Yacht and Motor Boat Association/ last evening. There were also present: Messrs'. Berkeley Clarke. D. 'Wall, J. Aldred, G. Dennis, C. Holmes, and W. Webb. A telegram from the private secretary of His Excellency tho Governor-General intimated that liis Excellency would be unable to attend the contest for the Sanders Cup owing to engagements in Auckland. Mr. Aldred reported that Peggy would he taken from Kniwarra to the boat harbour this afternoon. She had lieen at Kaiwa.rra lor the past week undergoing final overhaul. Mr. Grafton Bothainley was appointed iudge for' all tho sailing and motor boat events for the Anniversary Day regatta. Mr. .J Barry was elected handicapper for tho launches. The Town Clerk reported that His Worship the Mayor had agreed to extend a civic s'cception to t’he visiting yachtsmen in the Concert Chamber of tho Town Hall at 5.15 p.m. on Monday next. The Hawke’s Bay representative Konini with her crew, arrived at Wellington last evening by the Napier express.
