Prior to his departure from the Dominion. Mr. A. F. Roberts. New Zealand Commissioner at the Empire Exhibition, was the recipient of a number of reference books on the Dominion from Messrs. Whitcombs and Tombs. Limited. The late Mr. Benjamin Eddv Moyle, whose death occurred at Blenheim on Saturday morning,, a long illness, was born in W’aitahuna, Gtago, in 1871. He. was educated at Waitahuna School and Lawrence High School. After serving as a cadet on Moa Flat station and working there for several years, Mr. Moyle, accompanied by a mate and with three horses, left on a long trek to Marlborough, at the opposite end of the island. Arriving at Flaxbourne, the . traveller found that the locality suited him, and he worked on the Flaxbourne Estate, which was then under the management of Mr. Wold.
