Saturdav’s sitting of the Magistrate’s Court was presided over by Mr. C. R. Orr Walker. John Joseuh Kelly, with four previou« convictions for drunkenness, was fined Sos., in default three days’ imbrisonment. George Harley was fined 20s. or 48 hours, imprisonment, and: Robert. William Wilson was fined £2, in .default three days’ imprisonment. .Charged with being an idle and disorderly nerson. Matilda Maddison was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called ■ uno.i it being made a condition that she enter a Salvation Army home for twelve months. Wil.'inm Woods, charged with behaving in a disord'.riv manner, was fined £2. and costs. £l. Charged with tho theft of a portmanteau and contents, valued at £4O, the nronertv of John Bateman Fletcher. Wilson Angus McPhail was remanded until Thursday.
